🚀 Our Roots: The Nebraska Raidas Journey

In 2018, Nebraska Raidas Basketball was born—founded by a group of devoted fathers with determined fourth-grade sons ready to learn, grow, and compete. Kory Turner and Larry Crockett took charge, building a foundation rooted in discipline, work ethic, and basketball fundamentals that prepared their players for success on the court, in the classroom, and in life.

Starting in the YMCA Spirit League, this group of young athletes soon found themselves competing at a national level. Later that same year, they traveled to AAU Nationals in Clarksville, TN, finishing 7th in the nation in Division II—a proud moment that showcased just how far this homegrown team had come.

💔 COVID-19 & the Turning Point

The pandemic brought unexpected challenges. The church gym that had donated its space for practice had to close its doors, and with that, the Raidas’ era came to an end.

But what was built couldn’t be broken. The investment in these young athletes wasn’t just temporary—it was a cultural legacy. Even after the program folded, Kory and Larry continued to train, mentor, and guide the same players as they matured into young men.

🎓 From Grassroots to Greatness

• Kory Turner became a Varsity Assistant Coach at Parkview Christian High School in Lincoln, NE.
• Larry Crockett became a full-time trainer for boys and girls who now compete in the Nebraska State Tournament.

🔧 Why We Founded Prep Tech Basketball

Prep Tech Basketball was created to continue the mission that Nebraska Raidas started. We’re not a team. We’re not a club. We are a youth development system built on the belief that:

• Every kid deserves elite training, regardless of their background.
• Basketball is a vehicle for teaching life skills, accountability, and excellence.
• The court is just the beginning.

Prep Tech is 100% about youth development. Whether your child is chasing a scholarship, playing for the love of the game, or just trying to build confidence—we meet them where they are and elevate them.
